Valleys and Vistas is a Regional Tourism Marketing Initiative between the communities of Minnedosa, Neepawa and Carberry. As you explore our region, you'll find that there is much more to our area than three lovely towns. We also have the involvement and support of the Rural Municipalities of Minto, Odanah, Saskatchewan, Rosedale, Langford, Lansdowne and North Cypress. From a tourism perspective, we welcome you to your communities and hope that you enjoy your stay. From an economic development perspective, we have even more to offer.
The businesses operating in our region do so for many of the same reasons that tourists flock to the area: - The multimedia of recreational opportunities in our communities
- Our prime locations along either the Trans Canada Highway or Yellowhead Highway
- Our proximity to Brandon, Manitoba's major growth centre
- The tranquility and charm of small town community living
- The proximity to both Riding Mountain National Park and Spruce Woods Provincial Park.
Many of these businesses export their products and services around the region and, indeed, around the globe. Our modern telecommunications infrastructure enables these businesses "to do business anywhere, at any time." At the same time, they are able to enjoy a quality of life that is unparalleled. They can spend more time focused on the important aspects of life, mainly family and friends.
When you take a closer look at our communities, you will see a region of nearly 15,000 residents living together in both work and play. We have exceptional education and health care services, thriving business sectors with active, vibrant and dynamic Chambers of Commerce, and space to accommodate your business, both now and in the future.
Each community has an organization, staff and resources in place to foster economic and social development in their respective community.
We work with: existing businesses who are looking to address their challenges; entrepreneurs in the area looking for information on starting up a new venture; community groups looking to move a specific project forward; companies looking to relocate into the region; and local producer groups looking for value-added opportunities. We have statistical and demographic information about the region to help you make informed decisions. We are often the point of first contract for people in our area who need to know what technical and financial resources are out there from government departments. Sometimes the acronyms and program names can be very confusing. We can help move you in the right direction, grow your ideas and be your advocate with the variety at agencies that are there to help. |
